On March 31, Alaska Airlines celebrated its first day as a full member of the oneworld alliance. This is an important moment in the 89-year history of Alaska Airlines, becoming the 14th member of the global alliance, just eight months after it officially received the invitation, in July 2020.

Due to existing restrictions, Alaska Airlines and oneworld also celebrated the virtual moment through a press conference in Seattle. Members of oneworld airlines welcomed the accession of Alaska Airlines.

For Alaska Airlines passengers, oneworld offers a global network of over 1000 destinations in over 170 countries and autonomous territories. As of March 31, all Alaska Mileage Plan members can earn miles when they choose to travel with one of the other 13 oneworld member airlines.

Alaska Airlines is a full-fledged oneworld member

The 14 full members of the oneworld alliance are: Alaska Airlines; American Airlines; British Airways; Cathay Pacific Airways; Finnair; Iberia; Japan Airlines; Malaysia Airlines; Qantas; Qatar Airways; Royal Air Maroc; Royal Jordanian; S7 Airlines and SriLankan Airlines.

Fiji Airways is an oneworld connect partner company, offering benefits to passengers flying in combination with any oneworld member airline.
