Astra Airlines expands and receives two Airbus A320

Astra Airlines, a Greek airline, has plans to expand this year. It will add new routes to Russia, Ukraine and Germany, but also domestic flights to Greece. To meet the new demands, Astra Airlines will also purchase two Airbus A320 aircraft.

From its base in Thessaloniki, Astra Airlines will launch new routes to different destinations in Russia. In addition to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Rostov-on-Don, the company will expand operations to Volgograd, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Nijni Novgorod, Perm, Samara and Saratov this season.

The Greek carrier will operate from Thessaloniki International Airport and flights to Ukraine: Kiev, Donetsk, Kharkov and Lvov. In May it will open new routes to Germany: Munich (NEVER May) and Nuremberg (NEVER).

Domestically, Astra Airlines will operate from 1 May on flights from Thessaloniki to Kalamata, Corfu, Samos and Chios. Also from 1 May, it will operate flights from Athens to Sitia.

Currently, Astra Airlines operates two BAe 146-300, but will receive two Airbus A320 aircraft with 170 seats.
