Atlantic Airways has ordered an Airbus A320

Atlantic Airways, the air carrier based in the Faroe Islands, has signed a firm order for an Airbus A320 aircraft. It will be delivered at the end of 2016, and Atlantic Airways can cope with the increase in the number of passengers between Faro and Copenhagen.

Airbus A320 Atlantic Airways will be able to carry up to 168 passengers. The aircraft will join the other 3 Airbus A319 in the fleet.

Atlantic Airways chose the A320 for efficiency, very good operating cost / passenger, performance and efficiency in difficult environmental conditions. Atlantic Airways was the first airline in Europe to choose to use the "Required Navigation Performance approach".

Airbus A320 is the best-selling single-aisle aircraft in the world, with over 11.700 orders to date and over 6550 aircraft delivered to more than 300 by airline operators worldwide.
