Icelandair repainted one of the Boeing 757-200 (TF-FIU) aircraft in the colors of the Northern Lights (Northern Lights), giving its passengers a unique experience. The "Hekla Aurora" aircraft is part of the #MyStopover campaign and was painted in December 2014, but officially unveiled at Reykjavik-Keflavik Airport on February 4, 2015.

Passengers traveling to and from Iceland aboard the Hekla Aurora can enjoy the northern lights both outside and inside. The new livery comes with a play of lights typical of the northern lights. The Boeing 757-200 is configured to accommodate 22 passengers in Business Class and 161 in Economy Class.

Through the new #MyStopover campaign and the new livery, Icelandair airline encourages its passengers, flying between Europe and North America, to make an 7 night stopover in Iceland. This service is free of charge when you fly with Icelandair.

The painting process and the team of artists!

Icelandair serves 39 destinations, 25 in Europe and 14 in North America. On 20 May 2015, Icelandair will resume flights between Reykjavik and Portland, Oregon, with two weekly rotations. It also flies to Anchorage, Boston, Denver, New York JFK and Washington Dulles.
