Austria has lifted all COVID-19 entry rules
The Austrian authorities have announced that from today, 16 May, all passengers will be allowed unrestricted entry, as the country has decided to lift all COVID-19 entry rules. The news of lifting the entry restrictions was announced by the official travel portal of Austria.
"Traveling to Austria is possible for tourist purposes. There is no need for proof of vaccination / recovery or a test from May 16 ", is shown in the portal's press release.
All travelers, regardless of their country of origin, can now travel to Austria for all sorts of purposes without having to present a valid vaccination, recovery or test certificate upon arrival. In addition, travelers are no longer required to complete the pre-travel authorization form. Such a requirement previously applied to those who did not hold one of the certificates.
Unlike these countries, several popular European destinations, such as Germany and Portugal, among others, continue to require travelers to follow the rules of entry. As the summer season approaches, travelers expect all remaining countries to pick up their entry rules.
