Austria has extended the ban on flights from Ukraine, Belarus, China, Great Britain, Iran, Portugal, Russia, Sweden and Italy - Lombardy until July 16. Repatriation, cargo and emergency flights are excluded from this decision.

The decision was taken by the Austrian Ministry of Health, according to Der Standard, after it was found that the epidemiological situation had deteriorated in these countries.

Also on June 30, The European Union has presented a list of non-EU countries considered safe and recommended opening the borders. Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and Iran are not on this list.

In parallel with the above-mentioned bans, Austria relaxes entry restrictions for EU / Schengen nationals, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and the Vatican.
