Austrian Airlines has introduced the "Austrian Melangerie" catering concept for short and medium haul flights.

Apple strudel, chicken schnitzel, chives or Brettljause - accompanied by a Melange, an apple juice, "g'spritzt" or a glass of wine. From March 18, passengers of the Austrian Airlines economy class on European flights will be able to choose the diverse and high-quality range of products offered by "Austrian Melangerie".

The new catering concept is available for flights with a flight time of up to three hours. Quality, regionality and selection are at the heart of the new offer. Fresh food is made by the DO & CO brand "Henry for Austrian", while coffee and tea are provided by Julius Meinl.

Depending on their personal needs and tastes, Austrian Airlines Economy class guests can choose from the "Austrian Melangerie" selection. On all European flights, sweet and savory Austrian snacks such as Mannerschnitten, Mirabell Mozartkugeln, Soletti Salzstangerl or organic almonds from the Austrian company Landgarten are available, as well as soft drinks.

For flights lasting 50 minutes or more, an extensive offer is available. For example, passengers can choose between an apple strudel, a vegetarian farmer roll or an original Sacher cake. In addition, a selection of hot drinks from Julius Meinl is offered, as well as Austrian wine and beer. For flights of 85 minutes or more, don't forget the main dishes, such as chicken schnitzel with parsley potatoes or an Alpine Poké Bowl with smoked trout.

Alcoholic beverages such as gin and snaps from the main Reisetbauer distillery complete the offer. Snacks will be available from 2 euros, drinks from 3 euros, the price for the main courses starts from 9 euros. Water is provided free of charge on request to passengers. As a sweet gift, all passengers will receive a plate of chocolate from Salzburg Schokolade.
