ENAC (Italian Aeronautical Authority) has decided to increase airport taxes on Rome Fiumicino, for each passenger boarded, starting with 9 March 2013. Blue Air, which operates daily flights between Bucharest and the capital of Italy, is required to collect tax differences from passengers traveling from Rome Fiumicino Airport and bought their tickets until January 30 2013.

The tax differences that will have to be paid are worth 8 Euro. The fee can be paid at the airport, during the check-in and boarding formalities, or before the flight to the agency from which the ticket was purchased.

For more information, you can call the Call Center:

1499 - non-stop number available exclusively in Romania; tariff 0,62 euro / min
899 034 935 - non-stop number available exclusively in Italy; tariff 0.96 euro / min

Something like this happened in Spain, last summer, when they announced overnight that they are increasing airport taxes. Traffic was expected, fewer tourists, but so far everything has been ok.
