From 3 July 2014, Avianca (Aerovias del Continente Americano SA), Colombia's airline, resumed flights on the route Bogota - London, after a 13-year break in the British capital. Avianca operates four weekly flights aboard the Airbus A330-200 aircraft (30 seats in Business Class and 222 seats in Economy).
The route from Bogota to El Dorado-London to Heathrow is operated according to the following schedule:
AV120: BOG 22:00 - 14: 14 + 1 LHR - Monday, Thursday, Saturday
AV120: BOG 23:35 - 16: 05 + 1 LHR - Sunday
AV121: LHR 22:35 - 03: 10 + 1 BOG - Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Avianca has no competition on this route. London is the 3 destination in Europe for the Colombian operator, after Madrid and Barcelona. From Europe to Bogota also fly: Air France (Paris), Iberia (Madrid), Lufthansa (Frankfurt), TAP Portugal (Lisbon).
