The Aerostar hangar from Iași was inaugurated
➡️ "We set out to grow the civil aviation market, now, compared to the beginning, things have changed a little because of the pandemic that has profoundly affected the field, but we are confident that we will achieve our goals. We continued to invest in Iasi at the pace we set ourselves from the very beginning. We intend to consolidate and develop the center we are now opening. I thank the Iași County Council for trusting us and I tell you that we will still need support", said Grigore Filip, CEO of Aerostar.
➡️ "By opening this center, we are witnessing one of the most important moments in recent years in our county. Today, Iasi receives a place on the map of international aeronautics. The activity that will take place, starting today, here, is perfectly integrated in the development plan of the Iasi airport. From the very beginning, it proved to be an ambitious project, which we supported, bringing 150 new jobs to Iasi and making it more attractive for airlines. With the opening of this maintenance center, we are trying to develop a regional center for emergencies at the Iasi airport.", stated, at the inauguration, Maricel Popa, the president of the Iași County Council.
The hangar has an area of over 8300 square meters, being a construction on a metal structure with the largest opening (30 m) built so far in our country.
