Avolon announced order for Boeing 737 MAX and Boeing 737 Next Generation

Avolon and Boeing announced today at an agreement with Farnborough International Airshow 2012 10 Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft, 5 Boeing 737-9 MAX and 10 Boeing 737-800 Next Generation. The deal is worth $ 2.3 billion and includes reconfirmation rights for 5 737 MAX units.

The final negotiations will follow and, if all goes according to plan, the two companies will pass on their 30 aircraft. Boeing will move them to firm orders sold, and Avolon to acquisitions.

Once this commitment is completed, Avolon orders will increase to Boeing 36 units at 737. For those interested, Avolon is a leasing company based in Dublin, Ireland.
