Gulf Air, the national airline from Bahrain, and El Al Airlines, the national airline from Israel, will launch in partnership the route Bahrain (BAH) -Tel Aviv (TLV), from January 7, 2021.

On December 4, 2020, the two airlines signed a "Memorandum of Understanding", an agreement that was followed by the announcement of the route between Bahrain and Tel Aviv which will be operated twice a week.

Although the route will be launched in less than a month, the flights are not yet in the company's reservation system in Bahrain. The agreement came after Bahrain and Israel signed the "Declaration of Peace, Cooperation and Diplomatic and Friendly Relations" on September 15, 2020 in Washington DC.

We remind you that from March 2021, and Etihad Airways will operate weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv.

Historic moment in world aviation.

In November, Gulf Air operated the first flight in history between Bahrain and Israel. Aboard the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, registered A9C-FF, was the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Abdul Latif Al Zayani.

Flight GF992 took off from Bahrain International Airport (BAHRA) at 07:29 local time. The aircraft landed at Tel Aviv's "Ben Gurion" International Airport (TLV) at 09:55 local time. This flight marked a historic moment in world aviation.

The return flight, GF973, took off from Tel Aviv at 15:36 local time, and landed in Bahrain at 17:59 local time.
