Bamboo Airways, Vietnam's 5 airline, is delaying its commercial debut. Announced with great speed, the new airline remains on the ground.

Bamboo Airways is the 5 airline in Vietnam, after: Vietnam Airlines, VASCO, Jetstar Pacific and VietJet Air. It was established in 2017, and the operational debut was scheduled for 27 December 2018.

The company has received the license, but it still has to wait for the standard certificate. In addition, it has not yet defined its contract with Phu Cat Airport in Qui Nonh, where it is also the headquarters of the airline.

At the same time, the fleet is not defined. The first Airbus A319 came into the possession of Bamboo Airways on 15 in December. This could be followed by an Airbus A320.

But new Airbus A321neo and Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft could be delivered starting January 2019. The new aircraft will be taken over from GECAS.

Bamboo Airways is part of the FLC Group, and the first flights could be charter for the parent company. It is worth mentioning that FLC owns several hotel chains.
