Bamboo Airways (Qui Nhon) will be an airline developed by FLC Group (a major real estate player in Vietnam). So far, Vietnam's accredited authorities have not issued an AOC for the new air carrier, but FLC President Trinh Van Quyet is confident in his plans.

Until 2025, Bamboo Airways and FLC Group will buy 24 from Airbus A321neo aircraft. Initially, it was intended to rent 7 aircraft from Airbus to 2018. But 2018 has arrived and Bamboo Airways is still without AOC.

FLC Group is active in real estate, owning numerous homes, hotels and golf courses. And the operational plan of Bamboo Airways is to operate flights to different vacation destinations in Vietnam, but also to areas where FLC Group has properties.

Vienna currently has 4 major airline players: Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific Airlines (Vietnam Airlines subsidiary), Vietjet Aviation and Vietnam Air Services Co. Given that Vietnam's main airport is nearing full capacity, the Vietnamese government is reluctant to release a new AOC. But we will follow the situation of Bamboo Airways and come back with information.
