Blue Air celebrates 14 years of flight and 26 of millions of passengers

Blue Air is today celebrating 14 years of flight. On this occasion, the company announces discounts of up to 20% on airline tickets for reservations made on www.blueairweb.com and makes a retrospective of its history, dedicated to flight safety and quality services to passengers.

Starting from values ​​that put flight safety in the first place and with a development strategy in which the needs of passengers are the core of the decisions, Blue Air manages to be a successful Romanian brand and an increasingly powerful pan-European company.

In the journey begun by Blue Air 14 years ago, they were transported over 26 million passengers and they went through 300.000.000 of kilometers, enough to give the Earth a detour 7.500 times.

Blue Air successes in the 14 years of activity

In the centenary year, Blue Air launched two special aircraft, the Boeing 737-800. The aircraft Boeing 737-800 (YR-BMP) portrait of King Carol I (in July), respectively Boeing 737-800 (YR-BMG) with portrait of King Ferdinand I (in December). 

In honor of the 100 anniversary of the Great Union, Blue Air wishes to inspire future generations and proudly carries the history of Romania to its heights.

9 bases Blue Air in Romania and Europe

Today, the first smart flying company in Romania is based in Bucharest, Iași, Bacău and Cluj, and the summer time in Constanța.

In Europe, it continues to invest in bases in Italy (Turin and Alghero), Cyprus (Larnaca) and the United Kingdom (Liverpool). From all of its nine bases, Blue Air flies to better than 100 destinations in 16 countries.

The Blue Air fleet consists of Boeing 737 aircraft. This year, the company has invested 16 million euros, in the professional development of the team and in the development of the network of routes, and the estimated turnover for 2018 is 460 million, increasing compared to the year 2017.

After several years of accelerated growth, Blue Air has dedicated the year to 2018 to strengthen the company. With this new phase, the company will achieve its objectives for the next few years: a fleet of 50 aircraft and become one of the most important airlines in Europe.

The evolution of the company and the sustainable growth of the last years have transformed Blue Air into the largest Romanian airline in terms of number of passengers transported, in 2016, the full membership status of IATA (International AirTransport Association), and this spring year obtained TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Award 2018, the Travelers' Choice Low Cost Carrier section for the Europe area.
