As we have been anticipating for some time, Blue Air will resume operations starting July 1, 2020. The resumption of operations will come with operational changes: fleet reduced, destinations eliminated, number of flights reduced.

Until then, Blue Air will continue to operate on-demand and charter flights, depending on the travel regulations specific to each destination and the demand for each of them. These flights are an integral part of a plan to adapt to the new economic conditions, generated by the mobility restrictions imposed by the pandemic.

Destinations that will be served by Blue Air in flight mode on request

At the moment, Blue Air operates on-demand flights to and from Ireland (Dublin) and charter flights to any destination, to the extent that all travel approvals are obtained by customers.

For organized flight reservations the wax During this period, passengers can choose their destination using the dedicated section of the Blue Air website, Flights on request,  where they will register for a flight. As soon as the restrictions to the desired destination are lifted and the flight is activated, they will be notified of the possible dates for the trip and can make the payment online.

The destinations covered, as the restrictions are lifted, will be: Belgium (Brussels), Cipru (Larnaca) Denmark (Copenhagen), Finland (Helsinki), Franta (Paris, Nice, Lyon), Germany (Cologne, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart), Ireland (Dublin), Israel (Tel Aviv), Italy (Rome, Florence, Milan, Turin, Naples), UK (London, Liverpool), Norway (Oslo), Spania (Palma de Mallorca, Valencia, Malaga) and Sweden (Stockholm).

Blue Air maintains bases in Turin and Larnaca

In addition, with the lifting of restrictions in Italy and Cyprus, Blue Air will operate domestic flights in Italy (from Turin to and from Catania, Lamenzia, Naples, Alghero, and Trapani) and Greece - Cyprus, on the routes Larnaca - Athens and Larnaca - Thessaloniki.

Seeing the section Flights on request from the Blue Air website, passengers will have a complete and up-to-date list of destinations. In addition, Blue Air will actively promote those flights in the media and on its dedicated social media pages.

In terms of scheduled flights, Blue Air will resume operations with a limited number of routes and frequencies, and will rebuild, in stages, over time, the operational network.

Tickets can be booked on the Blue Air website. But ATTENTION !!! Before traveling to / from these destinations, check the travel conditions in those countries. You must also take into account the fact that these flights can be canceled at any time, depending on the evolution of the pandemic with the new coronavirus and the governmental decisions in Romania and in the other countries.

We are optimistic, but at the same time realistic. Given that the COVID-19 pandemic is in full swing, we recommend caution and patience. Travel responsibly! We are also waiting to see the new travel conditions, which will be imposed by the authorities for social distancing.

* Flight routes and timetables are set by the airline in accordance with the laws and restrictions imposed by the authorities. Flights could be resumed earlier than July 1, but can also be postponed after July 1.

They canceled the Bucharest Bordeaux flights even for the end of August 2020. A lot of money from which we can say goodbye. What do you do with the voucher if the flights were only seasonal for July and August anyway. (I live in Bordeaux)

          Request a refund.

Are flights resuming from July 1? No chance until then, the restrictions were until June 15 as if they still did not have flights until July.

The restrictions are, from the Romanian authorities, until May 29. I don't know what will happen after this date. For these reasons, Blue Air pushed the suspended flights until July 1. Until then, maybe the work can be adjusted.
