He also participated in the firefighting mission Boeing 747-400 SuperTanker, the largest AirTanker in the world. On 25 November, the aircraft flew to the Middle East where it participated in the first mission in its history. The flight to Tel Aviv took 12.5 hours, and on board were 12 crew members. On November 30, the plane flew to Global SuperTanker Services in Colorado, United States.
In January 2016, the aircraft entered the Global SuperTanker Services fleet. On September 12, the FAA issued approvals for such operations. Special certificates were required for the installation and use of the pressure vessels. Boeing 747-400 (N744ST) SuperTanker, christened "Spirit of John Muir", can carry up to 75 000 liters of water or fire extinguisher.
