Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200ER (9M-MRD) file was clean (video)
During yesterday, around 17: 15 (Romanian time) lost contact with the aircraft on the flight MH17, at 30 kilometers from the Tamak crossing point, about 50 kilometers from the Russian-Ukrainian border. Shortly afterwards, several images began to circulate on the Internet, showing a plane in flames, dozens of corpses and remains of the aircraft scattered over a fairly large surface.
It wasn't long before, and the confirmations we didn't expect came. A civilian type airplane Boeing 777-200ER Malaysia Airlines was shot down in the conflict zone, in eastern Ukraine. The Boeing 777-200ER (9M-MRD) aircraft operated flight MH17, on the route Amsterdam - Kuala Lumpur. It had 298 people on board: 15 crew members and 283 passengers (international sources also announce 80 children). The news spread around the planet. For Malaysia Airlines, 2014 was perhaps the most unlucky of all its activity. In March 2014, the aircraft B777 on flight MH370 disappeared without trace, and now this accident.
Boeing 777-200ER (9M-MRD) was 17 years old. It operated the first flight on 17.07.1997, and on July 29 1997 joined the Malaysia Airlines fleet. Coincidence that 17 years later, on 17.07.2014, the aircraft was completely destroyed in this terrible accident. It had a clean file with no notable incidents. It had a good evolution, accumulating 75322 flight hours, in 11434 cycles. The last review was made on 11 July 2014, and the next check was scheduled for 27 August 2014. The aircraft was serviced at Malaysia Airlines hangars.

The airplane Boeing 777-200ER (9M-MRD) it was powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent-800 engines and had a capacity of 282 of seats (35 of seats in Business Class and 247 of seats in Economy Class). As we can see, flight MH17 from 17.07 was loaded 100%. Indeed, there were people who could not board the aircraft, taking the next plane to Kuala Lumpur. We can consider them the luckiest, they were born a second time.
