On 15 July 2016, ANA, the largest airline in Japan, announced the 4 aircraft painted in Star Wars livery. It's about one Boeing 777-200ER, which received the color scheme Star Wars C-3PO. The aircraft was presented in London at the Star Wars Celebration Europe.

The aircraft Boeing 777-200ER will enter the operational service on domestic routes in Japan, beginning with the end of March 2017.
ANA launched the Star Wars Project in April 2015 after signing an agreement with The Walt Disney Company (Japan). The project runs for 5 years, and ANA is the only airline in the world with the right to customize its aircraft in Star Wars livery.
To date, ANA has painted 3 aircraft in Star Wars special livery: a Boeing 787-9 (R2-D2), an 777-300ER (BB-8) and 767-300ER.
