At the aeronautical event Paris Air Show 2013, Boeing has announced the 787-10 Dreamliner, the 3 being a member of the 787 family. The commitments for 102 787-10 aircraft received from 5 air carriers provide a solid foundation to support the development and production of the new aircraft type.

The 5 customers are: Air Lease Corporation with 30 of airplanes; GE Capital Aviation Services with 10 Boeing 787-10; International Airlines Group / British Airways with 12 airplanes; Singapore Airlines with 30 and United Airlines with 20 aircraft.

The new NOTHING-NOTHING Dreamliner will have a flight range of up to 12 964 km and will be able to carry 300-330 passengers, depending on the configuration chosen. Final assembly for 787-10 Dreamliner is scheduled for 2017, and the first delivery is scheduled for 2018. I mention that 787-9 is already in the final assembly phase at Everett, Washington, and scheduled to make its first flight this year.

The US aircraft manufacturer promises that the 787-10 Dreamliner will be the most efficient aircraft in the history of the civil aviation industry on its niche. It remains to be seen if the hangar counts will match those in flight.
