Boeing delivered the first 737 MAX, after recording it on the ground in March 2019, to United Airlines

The FAA has authorized the return of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to operational service, on November 18. United Airlines became the first airline in the world to receive a Boeing 737 MAX aircraft (N27519), after the global fleet of 737 MAX aircraft was recorded on the ground for checks and improvements in March 2019.

The decision to record it came as a result of 2 plane crashes that resulted in 364 victims. The first accident was Boeing 737 MAX 8 Lion Air, collapsed in the fall of 2018, followed by Boeing 737 MAX 8 Ethiopian Airlines, collapsed in the spring of 2019.

After the aircraft was assembled and ready for delivery, it was stored at King County - Boeing Field (BFI) International Airport in Seattle. On December 8, the plane was sent to Seattle's Tacoma International Airport, where it is awaiting United Airlines reception.

The aircraft will fly to the United hub, which is located at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston later this week.
