And Boeing Samsung announces the technological research and development partnership between the two companies, with the aim of improving entertainment and in-flight communications, as well as increasing productivity.

The agreement between the world's largest aircraft manufacturer and global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies will help expand and strengthen industrial ties between South Korea and Boeing aircraft production.

For starters, Boeing and Samsung will start development of advanced technologies for displays and wireless networks, to provide passengers with more entertainment and communication options with the ground, which is also easier and cheaper. In addition, the two companies will explore collaboration opportunities in terms of employee productivity and enterprise mobility, using current and future Samsung devices, as well as Hand-held mobile solutions and other IT products.

Boeing's new research and development partnership demonstrates Samsung's commitment to strengthening leadership in business information technology through superior software products, solutions and services, as well as developing relationships with valuable partners.

Boeing Research & Technology, Boeing's advanced research organization, will oversee the collaboration between the two companies. The organization focuses on developing aeronautical solutions and improving flight time, costs, quality and performance of current aviation systems.
