On August 17, 2020, Boeing delivered the first 777F to AirBridgeCargo, a Volga-Dnepr subsidiary. The VQ-BAO aircraft took off from Everett Paine Field to Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
AirBridgeCargo will operate the aircraft through a lease agreement with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE).
DAE Capital owns the largest fleet of Boeing 777F aircraft, leased to various airlines specializing in cargo flights.
Volga-Dnepr Group owns one of the largest cargo fleets in the world, with a fleet consisting only of Boeing aircraft. It operates 17 x Boeing 747F and 5 x 737F, including 13 x 747-8F, 4 x 747-400ERF, 2 x 737-800BCF and 3 x 737-400SF.
The Boeing 777F can carry up to 102.010 kg of cargo over a maximum distance of 9200 kilometers. It is the most efficient cargo plane with 2 engines.
Currently, 90% of the global cargo capacity is provided by Boeing aircraft. From 2005 until now, Boeing has delivered 231 777F aircraft, and AirBridgeCargo becomes the 19th air carrier with this model aircraft in the fleet.
