Starting with 7 March 2016 and for about a month, an aircraft Bombardier CS100 operates test flights in Europe. It is allocated to the Swiss International Air Lines base in Zurich. The program includes flights to major European cities, including Brussels, Vienna and Warsaw. From our information, the Bombardier CS100 aircraft would also land in Bucharest on March 19 2016.

This test program is beneficial to the Canadian aircraft manufacturer, Zurich airport, but also to the SWISS air operator. It will provide a real experience on how to operate the new aircraft model. The flights will follow the typical operational procedures from Zurich, on routes served by the Swiss carrier. A similar program took place in the United States, which included over 35 cities.

In the 2 quarter of this year, SWISS will receive the first Bombardier CS100 in the fleet, but also in the world. The Swiss operator, a member of Star Alliance, has ordered 30 Bombardier CS aircraft (20 x CS100 and 10 x CS300), which will be allocated to the regional subsidiary Swiss Global Air Lines.
