Brussels Airlines has presented the flight schedule for the 2021 summer season, which includes the resumption of flights to North America and the addition of a new route to Frankfurt.

Flights from Brussels (BRU) to New York John F Kennedy (JFK) and Washington Dulles (IAD) are scheduled to begin on June 14, and flights to Montreal (YUL) will begin on June 15. The flights will be the first operated by the Lufthansa Group to North America in March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic stopped the aviation industry.

The Star Alliance member of the airline planned to fly to Montreal 5 times a week on March 29, 2020, but the launch was postponed due to the pandemic.

A new route will be added to the Brussels Airlines network this summer, connecting the Brussels hub (BRU) of the Belgian carrier with that of Lufthansa in Frankfurt. The flights between BRU and FRA will be operated twice a day, starting with August 2.

Luanda (LAD) in Angola will also join the operational network and will operate 3 flights a week, starting on June 15.
