Brussels Airport supports the distribution of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine doses.

Starting with the end of November, the distribution of vaccine doses began globally. Thus, the first 7 flights aimed at delivering Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine doses were successfully performed.

So far, 7 flights aimed at distributing the vaccine Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 globally they were operated through Brussels airport. In cooperation with United Airlines, Expeditors, DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Express, the first flight took off from Brussels Airport on 27 November.

The vaccine doses were transported from the warehouse to the aircraft under special conditions, maintaining a constant temperature during transport, with the help of Airside Pharma.

With the advent of the vaccine, an increase in the destinations served by the airlines is expected.

Over the next few months, an increasing number of vaccine doses will transit Brussels Airport. Global distribution will be done through DHL Express, as well as through commercial flights, or logistics partners at Brussels Airport.

We are not just referring to Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine doses. It is a procedure that will apply to all vaccines manufactured by pharmaceutical companies, both for export and import.
