Bucharest International Air Show (BIAS) 2013 in one day - July 27, 2013
Bucharest International Air Show 2013 (BIAS 2013) restricts its activity to a single day of aviation show, 27 July 2013. The decision was taken after the Romanian Air Force decided to withdraw for financial reasons. So we will no longer see the MIGs in action, we will no longer admire the transport aircraft: AN-26, AN-30, C-130 B Hercules, C 27J Spartan etc.
But even so, a full day is announced. The show includes 3 main sections of aerial evolutions. Below is the official program:
Saturday, July 11th
Public access is from 8: 00.
Opening ceremony of BIAS, 9 time: 00:
- Parade of the national flags of the countries participating in the air show BIAS 2013,
- Drill Team - demonstration of handling the weapon supported by 30 Regiment "Mihai Viteazul" Guard,
- Grounding of the aircraft Vlaicu II (replica in natural size), as a tribute to the pioneer of Romanian aviation - Aurel Vlaicu, whose passing into existence is 100 years old.
- Take-off of the first aircraft to open the BIAS 2013 air show.
Saturday, July 11th
show "Flight at dusk", now 19: 00
Lineup Baltic Bees is the poster for BIAS 2013, and special guests include Luca Bertossio, world champion in glider acrobatics.
Bucharest International Air Show & General Aviation Exhibition - BIAS 2013 will take place at Bucharest Baneasa-Aurel Vlaicu International Airport. This year's edition is dedicated to the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Romanian Aeroclub. Public entry is free. Access is via ROMAERO. Parking spaces are strictly limited, so we recommend using public transport.
