Bucharest - Basel (Switzerland) and Bucharest - Nuremberg with Wizz Air, from 26 October to 2014
Wizz Air announces expansion into Romania. The company will operate, for the first time, with 7 aircraft from Bucharest, during the winter season. In addition to these developments on the local market, Wizz Air will also add new services to 3: Cluj-Napoca - Nuremberg from the 1 October, Bucharest - Basel (Switzerland) and Bucharest - Nuremberg, from the end of the same month, all with a frequency of twice a week.
Nürnberg, the newest destination on the Wizz Air map, the second largest city in Bavaria and the place of origin of traditional sweet cake (Lebkuchen) products, sausages and handmade toys, is now directly accessible at low rates in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.
With these 3 new services, Wizz Air now offers 84 routes from Romania to 40 destinations. The company also announces the increase in frequency of the most popular routes. London Luton is now accessible with 9 weekly flights from Cluj - Napoca and 20 weekly flights from Bucharest. Also, the popular Bucharest-Malaga route is no longer a seasonal race, and due to the demand it becomes available throughout the year.
Just a week ago, Wizz Air launched a new route, Sibiu - London. The strong expansion in Romania has the potential to stimulate the labor market in the field of aviation and tourism, as more visitors can now travel at low rates.
