Bucharest - Berlin with AirBerlin from 28 January 2013

In November, following some information received for the first time in Romania, I did some research on the AirBerlin group. I had been whispered that Flyniki will no longer operate the Bucharest - Vienna route from the 2013 summer season. I checked and so I found that from 2013 AirBerlin will make direct flights between the capital of Germany and the capital of Romania.

Initially I said that this will happen from April 2013, but new information shows that the Bucharest - Berlin route with AirBerlin will be opened from 28 January 2013. 7 flights will be operated weekly (1 / day) and prices start from 99 EUR. The schedule is a little chaotic. From my checks, the aircraft on the Bucharest - Berlin flights will take off from Henri Coandă International Airport at local times 11: 05 (Friday), 12: 30 (Saturday), 13: 05 (Sunday) 14: 50 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday , Thursday). The hours on the Berlin-Tegel - Bucharest flights are just as chaotic. Aircraft will take off from Tegel Airport on 07: 05 (Friday), 08: 40 (Saturday), 09: 15 (Sunday), 10: 05 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday),

The German carrier wants to strengthen its position in Central and Eastern Europe by opening routes to Sofia, Gdansk, Krakow, Kaliningrad, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Budapest. Also, as of March 23, AirBerlin will also fly to Warsaw. All these changes are part of the strategy of the AirBerlin / FlyNiki group for 2013, a year in which it wants to bring the company to profit.

Below you have the price calendar for January - February and the evidence with the hours per day. We took 7 days to juggle the AirBerlin search engine more easily.

In the autumn of this year, I flew Berlin on the route Bucharest - Vienna with FlyNiki and Vienna - Berlin with AirBerlin!

Lufthansa also operates on the Berlin - Bucharest route (4 weekly flights, and from 2013 summer season 5 flights will be operated) and prices are close. So now you have more options for Berlin. If you have loyalty cards, I would like to mention that AirBerlin is part of the OneWorld airline alliance, and Lufthansa from the Star Alliance!
