Lately, the Carpatair airline has encountered many obstacles. 2011 started the scandals with the Timisoara International Airport, where it has the main hub. Through 2012 he made redundancies and moved operational bases to western airports. And 2013 did not start well, with several Carpatair aircraft being involved in various incidents. And yet, Carpatair received the 5 status of IOSA operator once.

Last days a capital infusion of 5 million was announced, an investment that aims to finance the Carpatair fleet restructuring and modernization program.

Nicolae Petrov, President & CEO of Carpatair puts pressure on Timisoara International Airport, stating that:

"The decision of the Carpatair shareholders, regarding this capital infusion, was conditioned by the reduction of the number of flights from Timisoara International Airport in favor of the airports that respect and encourage free competition".

It remains to be seen what will happen in the future. I am a little more optimistic and want to believe that the airline Carpatair will continue its activity without problems. I flew with Carpatair, they are ok, good services, but I think they have to work a little more on the communication and keep certain things behind the scenes.
