In order to obtain IATA's favorable opinion, an airline must meet above 900 criteria set out in the IOSA Standards Manual. IOSA certification is done once every 2 years based on this very detailed audit organized by IATA accredited companies. IOSA certification is an indisputable guarantee of how the airline's flight safety and security requirements are met, being one of the basic criteria by which the major airlines establish their partnerships.

Launched in 2003, the IOSA Program is an internationally validated and approved evaluation system, in fact the only aeronautical standard recognized worldwide in the field of airline safety, being higher than the European standards imposed on airlines operating in Europe. The IOSA audit criteria evaluate all the 8 major areas of the activities of an airline operator, respectively: Company management at the chapters Corporate Organization and Management System, Flight Operations, Dispatcher, Technical Department of ???? Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance, Cabin Personnel (on-board companions), Ground Operations (handling), Cargo Operations and Operational Security.
