The winter season comes with new changes in the Carpatair operational program. After announcing that will move the base from the airport in Timisoara, Carpatair also gives up some routes starting with the winter season 2012-2013.
It seems that from October 28, the routes Timisoara - Bucharest, Timisoara - Bologna and Craiova - Rome / Fiumicino will be canceled. The routes Timisoara - Constanta and Timisoara - Verona were canceled at the end of September 2012. I tried to make reservations, for November, on these routes and I did not succeed.
We don't have more details at this time, but we will update the news as we learn more. Following these route suspensions, TAROM and Wizz Air are the main airlines to gain. From our sources, we found out that the Carpatair operator is in a lawsuit with Timişoara Airport "Traian Vuia" and Wizz Air due to some discriminatory rates practiced by the airport in Banat!
