Cătălin Radu Prunariu resigned from the position of General Manager of TAROM, his place being taken by Mihăiță Ursu

The Board of Directors of the Romanian National Air Transport Company TAROM took note of the resignation of Commander Cătălin Radu PRUNARIU from the position of General Manager, his approach being for personal reasons.

The aviation industry around the world is going through an extremely difficult time with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, but nevertheless the national airline has managed to survive the early years of the crisis, mainly due to adjusting operations, restructuring staff and operating new opportunities in the segment of irregular flights.

TAROM is in the process of transforming the company, started at the beginning of 2020, with the access to the Rescue Loan following the pre-notification to the European Commission of a State Restructuring Aid, necessary procedures to adapt the company's role in the air transport market, both at national and European level, in order to ensure long-term profitability and stability.

Thus, taking into account the complexity of the activities, but also to have a continuity in the steps started by the company, the Board of Directors of the Romanian National Air Transport Company TAROM appointed Mr. Mihăiță URSU, member of the Board and former Director, as General Manager. General of TAROM in the period June 2020 - June 2021.

TAROM thanks Commander Cătălin Radu PRUNARIU for all the activity and efforts made within the company in the position of General Manager.
