Cebu Pacific completes order for 16 Airbus A330neo aircraft

Cebu Pacific (CEB), a Philippine-based air carrier, has signed a firm order for 16 Airbus A330neo aircraft. The order is part of a procurement agreement (MoU), which also includes commitments for 10 A321XLR and 5 A320neo aircraft.

Cebu Pacific has chosen the A330-900 model, which will be configured in a class with 460 seats. The aircraft will operate on routes departing from the Philippines to destinations in Asia, Australia and the Middle East. Taking into account the configuration of Cebu Pacific, it will introduce the new airplanes on the busiest routes, while optimizing its operational slots.

16 A330neo aircraft for Cebu Pacific

The A330neo family of aircraft is based on the efficiency, versatility and reliability of the existing A330 family. But the propulsion is provided by the new Trent 7000 engines from Rolls-Royce. At the same time, the new A330neo come equipped with the new wing model also encountered at A350.

A330neo is more efficient with 25% on fuel consumption compared to competing models. And the flight range is up to 15 000 kilometers.
