China Aircraft Leasing Company (CALC), the fastest growing leasing company in Hong Kong, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus at the Farnborough International Airshow 2012 event for 36 of Airbus A320neo aircraft. The deal includes 8 A321neo units, the largest A320 family aircraft. You can also opt for Sharklets wings, which have the role of reducing fuel consumption.

CALC currently owns 11 Airbus aircraft: 5 A320, 5 A321 and an A330. Other 3 A330 units and 5 A320 aircraft are expected to be delivered. With the new commitment, China Aircraft Leasing Company's fleet will exceed 50 number of aircraft, all Airbus.

Sharklets are the new wing tips, which are 2.5 meters high and can reduce fuel consumption by up to 3.5%. This translates into a CO2 reduction of approximately 1000 tonnes per plane, in one year.
