China Eastern Airlines celebrates delivery of first Boeing 777-300ER aircraft

On 24 September 2014, China Eastern Airlines celebrated the delivery of the first Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in the fleet. The aircraft is part of an order of 20 units. With this delivery, China Eastern Airlines made its debut with the new livery, a change after 25 years.

China Eastern will operate 777-300ER on routes between China and North America, an important market for East China over the next three years. The carrier intends to open new routes to North America and to also boost frequencies on existing routes from Shanghai to Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Vancouver and Toronto. Starting in November, China Eastern Airlines will operate its first Boeing 777-300ER to Los Angeles and New York.

The aircraft Boeing 777-300ER in the colors of China Eastern Airlines is configured in three classes: 6 first class seats, 52 business class seats and 258 economy class seats.

The Boeing 777 is the most successful twin-engine aircraft dedicated to long and very long flights. It is also one of our favorite models. The Boeing 777-300ER is equipped with the most powerful engine in commercial aviation - GE90-115B. In a standard configuration, the aircraft can fly a distance of up to 14490 km.
