China Southern Airlines has ordered 10 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft
Boeing announced today that China Southern Airlines commanded 10 aircraft Boeing 777-300ER. The airline has decided to expand its fleet to meet the growing demand from Asia-Pacific and China. But now the Chinese government's agreement is expected. Boeing has been working with China Southern Airlines for some time, and a new order would strengthen their "friendship".
Plus, China Southern Airlines is one of the companies that supported the Boeing 777 project and has several aircraft of this model in the fleet.
Boeing 777 is a high-capacity subsonic long-haul twin-engine aircraft built by the American company. 777-300ER is the model of maximum capacity of the series, offering, compared to 777-300, and a greater autonomy - of almost 14.594 km. This is possible because of the GE90-115B engines, the larger authorized mass, and some structural improvements, which allow the transport of more fuel, under similar conditions of loading with passengers and freight. 777-300ER flew over 6 hours with a single engine for ETOPS certification (although only 3 flight hours were required).
