Cyprus intends to reopen its airports on 1 March 2021
The transitional plan for the period 15 January-28 February 2021 on travel conditions from 56 countries to the Republic of Cyprus is suspended. Cyprus imposes severe restrictions on entry and blocks tourist travel.
However, from March 1, 2021, it will go directly to the action plan for the gradual resumption of flights and the reopening of airports according to which the grouping of the 56 states will be carried out primarily on the basis of ECDC assessments. Only if a state is not included in the ECDC list will it be assessed separately by the Cypriot authorities.
Depending on the category, the new conditions for entry into the Republic of Cyprus are as follows:
Entry conditions | Verde | Orange | Red | Grey |
Fill in the Flight Pass form 24 hours before departure | Da | Da | Da | Da |
PCR molecular test 72 hours before departure | Nu | Da | Da | Da |
PCR type molecular test on arrival | Nu | Nu | Da | Nu |
Placement in self-isolation for 14 days | Nu | Nu | Nu | Da |
Random arrival test (costs borne by Cypriot authorities) | Da | Da | Da | Da |
Romania is currently on the red list of Cyprus. If the same classification is maintained after March 1, those who will travel from Romania to Cyprus will have to complete the FP form, will be required to submit a PCR test before the trip, PCR test on arrival.
We will come back with information!
