Bucharest National Airports Company (CNAB) registered in 2014, on the two airports of the Capital - Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport (AIHCB) and Bucharest Băneasa-Aurel Vlaicu International Airport (AIBB AV), a record number of NUMBER of passengers and 102.048 of aircraft movements (landings and take-offs). In total, 8.317.168 of passengers and 91.788 of aircraft movements were registered on AIHCB.
Compared to the year 2013, the number of passengers who passed the airports of Bucharest in the year 2014 registered a relevant growth, by 8,8%.
The evolution of the number of passengers on the two airports of the National Company Bucharest Airports exceeds the general tendency registered at European level. In addition, the number of aircraft movements has registered a substantial increase in the airports of the Capital, ahead of this trend the European trend. Thus, last year, the number Aircraft movements at Bucharest airports increased by 6,32% compared to the same period last year.
Last year, 83% of the passengers of Henri Coanda Airport had their origin or destination airports in the European Union states.
Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport is currently operating 31 of airlines, which transports passengers to 70 from destinations. In the year 2014, two new airlines started operating on AIHCB, Ryanair and Air Baltic.
