Collapse of Convair CV-340 ZS-BRV aircraft / Aviation crash filmed from passenger cabin (Video)

On July 10, a passenger filmed from the cockpit the crash of the plane he was on. The 340-year-old Convair CV-64 aircraft operated a domestic flight in South Africa on the Pretoria-Wonderboom Airport (PRY / FAWB) - Sun City-Pilanesberg Airport (NTY / FAPN) route.

As a result of the accident, one person was killed and another 18 persons were injured. Unfortunately, a person on the ground died.

The aircraft, with the ZS-BRV sign, took off from Pretoria-Wonderboom. Eyewitnesses reported flames to engine no. 1. The pilots tried to return to the airport, but unfortunately they failed. As a result of the impact with the ground, the flight engineer suffered fatal injuries and the rest of the people were injured. There were 16 passengers and 3 crew members on board.
