Scandinavian Airlines has acknowledged that one of its aircraft, an Airbus A330-300, lost part of its left wing following a collision with an Embraer ERJ-145 United Express. The incident took place on May 1, 2013, at 19:30, on one of the runways of Newark - New York Airport,.

Aircraft A330-300 SAS it was preparing for a long journey to Oslo and had 242 passengers on board. Embraer ERJ-145 United Express was preparing for a domestic flight on the New York - Nashville route and had 32 passengers on board.
