Lufthansa Group companies carried approximately 8.8 million passengers in February 2018
In February 2018, Lufthansa Group airlines carried approximately 8.8 million passengers, with 13.1% more than the previous month.
February 2018 was also very good for Lufthansa Group airlines. Together they carried approximately 8.8 million passengers. And the aircraft loading factor increased by 1.2%, reaching 76.2% compared to February 2017. The increase in passenger traffic is also due to the increased number of flights.

The number of available seats increased by 8.6% compared to the previous year, and sales increased by 10.4%. These indices have led to an increase in aircraft loading.
In February 2018, Lufthansa, Swiss Airlines and Austrian Airlines carried 6.5 millions of passengers, with 6,8% more than the same period last year. And the aircraft loading rate was 75.9%, with 0.2% higher compared to February 2017.
Low-cost operators from Lufthansa Group, Eurowings (including Germanwings) and Brussels Airlines, have transported approximately 2.3 million passengers. Of these, 2.2 million passengers were transported on short and medium flights. 220 000 passengers were transported on long-haul flights.
February 2018 capacity was up by 32% higher than the previous year, while sales volume increased by 38,3%. Thus the increase of the loading factor was 3.6%, reaching 77.6%.
Anyway, Lufthansa Group is on a rising trend. In 2017, Lufthansa Group airlines have transported approximately 130 million passengers. And 2018 is just beginning.
