Completion of the repair works on the track no. 1 of Henri Coanda Airport
The Bucharest Airports National Company has completed the maintenance and repair work on the road structure of the take-off / landing runway no. 1 of the Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport and the aircraft running routes.
The works were completed this weekend and totaled an area of 67.228 sqm, of which 39.483 sqm on the track no. 1 and other 27.745 sqm on aircraft platforms and railways.

For the safe and secure conduct of airport activities, as well as for minimizing passenger discomfort, repair work was carried out especially at night, outside peak hours of air traffic.
The works had a high degree of complexity and were conducted under traffic, at a sustained pace, depending on the weather conditions (rain, low visibility, low temperatures), the absolute priority of the Bucharest Airports National Company being the safe operation of the air traffic on Henri Coanda Airport.
From our information, Henri Coanda Airport will be recertified to receive large tonnage aircraft, including Airbus A330 and Boeing 747, after 1 January 2018.
