Entry / exit conditions and transit in Tyrol / Austria

People in the state of Tyrol, with the exception of those in the district of Lienz, the municipality of Jungholz and the Riss Valley in the municipality of Vomp and Eben am Achensee, may leave the borders of this region only if they test negative for SARS CoV-2, PCR or antigen type, not older than 48 hours.

Measure NU applies:

- children up to ten years old;
- if a situation which presents an immediate danger to life and property must be avoided;
- representatives of the public security service, as well as rescue and fire services;
- freight transport;
- persons in transit without stopping. They must present supporting documents to ensure entry into the state / locality of destination: domicile / residence / right of residence / employment contract / any other proof of the need for entry, for example a certificate of necessary medical treatment, studies, etc.

The measures also apply to commuters.

Skiing is allowed as a recreational / sports activity or in the context of a “one-day” activity, but not in the form of a ski vacationCareful! The Austrian authorities are tightening controls at the ski resorts to monitor compliance with the required measures.

In case of non-compliance with the measures, sanctions in the amount of up to 1450 Euro may be applied.
