Coronavirus outbreak is canceling thousands of flights to Europe. Most airlines need to adjust their operational programs for economic reasons. The drastic drop in sales, but also the refusal of passengers to travel, result in cancellations of flights and even closure of routes.

WIZZ Air suspends flights on routes to northern Italy. Lufthansa cancels 7100 European flights in March. Lufthansa Group continues to suspend flights to China, Iran, South Korea, Italy. Blue Air reduces the number of flights from / to Italy between March 17 and 31. Ryanair reduces the number of flights from / to Italy by 25%.

The measures taken by the airlines do not only target the "red" destinations - outbreaks of the new Coronavirus epidemic, but also other countries and regions where there is no demand.

Austrian Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, is reducing the number of flights to several destinations in Euripa and the Middle East. Compared to the initial and existing program in the system on March 8, 2020, the situation is as follows: March 08, 2020 - March 14, 2020 decrease in the number of flights from 1081 to 925; March 15, 2020 - March 21, 2020 decrease in the number of flights from 1094 to 896; March 22, 2020 - March 28, 2020 decreased number of flights from 1111 to 888.
