Following the pandemic of Covid-19, which covered the entire planet, Brussels Airlines decided to suspend all commercial flights between March 21 and April 19. Brussels Airlines will gradually reduce its flight schedule this week, leading to a complete temporary suspension of flights until this Saturday.

Given the extraordinary circumstances caused by the worldwide Coronavirus crisis, Brussels Airlines has decided to temporarily suspend its flight operations starting March 21, 2020. Until then, the flight operations of Brussels Airlines will be gradually reduced, controlled and structured for to bring passengers and crews home.

Brussels Airlines suspended flights

Brussels Airlines will keep the operational minimum for repatriation flights in case of emergency at standby.

The decision of Brussels Airlines to temporarily suspend all flights between March 21 and April 20 was also taken following the measures imposed by different authorities, including those imposed by the Belgian authorities.

Brussels Airlines employees will be in technical unemployment for the entire period of temporary suspension of the flight. Exceptions will be made to the employees, who will remain active on the basis of Brussels Airlines for the operation of the repatriation flights and, when necessary, for the resumption of the operations.

Passengers, who have scheduled flights until March 20, are asked to check their status on under the "My Booking" section. Passengers, with the updated contact details in the booking platform, will be notified automatically by the operational program.

Passengers, who do not have tickets valid for the next 7 days, are asked not to contact the airline. They will have the flexibility to change the travel data and even the destination.

Brussels Airlines urges passengers to be calm and patient. All those affected by canceled flights will be contacted and will be able to change the travel date, destination and even be able to request a refund.
