Because of the epidemic with the new Coronavirus, Lufthansa Group considered reducing operational program by 25% and does not rule out that the share goes up 50% of all scheduled flights. At the same time, this measure also leads to blocking 150 planes on the ground. Lufthansa officials plan to hold the entire fleet of A380 aircraft on the ground.
More than 7100 Lufthansa flights have already been canceled in Europe. If we analyze the number of existing flights in the reservation system on February 23 and those existing on March 8, for the period March 1 - March 31, we can observe a considerable decrease. Lufthansa reports a significant decline from its bases in Frankfurt and Munich.
