Coronavirus: Lufthansa Group cancels all flights to Israel (Tel Aviv and Eilat)

Due to the new regulations imposed by Israel, the Lufthansa Group has to cancel all flights to destinations in Israel. Starting March 6, Israeli authorities are refusing entry to all passengers from Coronavirus-affected areas, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Lufthansa cancels flights to Israel

As a result, Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines will cancel all flights to Tel Aviv and Eilat starting Sunday, March 8, 2020. Initially, the measure is taken until March 28, 2020.

All Lufthansa Group companies operated 10 daily flights to Tel Aviv. In addition, Lufthansa also had 1 weekly flight to Eilat.

Israel is doing everything it can to slow the spread of the Coronavirus epidemic. So far, 17 cases have been confirmed in Israel, 2 of which were cured.
