Coronavirus: SWISS will minimize air operations from March 23, 2020

In view of the numerous travel restrictions, both in Europe and on other continents, as well as for economic reasons, SWISS is obliged to limit flight operations.

Between March 23 and April 19, SWISS will operate a single long-haul route. We talk about Zurich - New York Newark (EWR). And all of Zurich, will fly to 8 destinations in Europe: London (LHR), Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon and Stockholm.

For now, flights from Geneva to London (LHR), Athens, Lisbon and Porto will continue. Provisionally, there will be no longer long-haul services in Geneva.

In total, SWISS will operate approximately 40 weekly flights to these European destinations, plus the three weekly flights to Newark. The remaining flight schedule will be honored with a wide-body airplane for long-haul and flights five aircraft dedicated to short and medium flights.

As an airline of Switzerland, SWISS wants to keep the country connected to the rest of the world, as far as possible, in an exceptional situation, full of increasingly difficult challenges.
