Wizz Air announced today (March 9, 2020) that it is suspending its flights on all routes between Romania and Italy. Wizz Air respects the decision of the Romanian authorities to ban all flights between the two countries, between March 9 and 23, 2020 inclusive.

The announcement comes after yesterday's announcement regarding suspension of flights from Romania to Milan Bergamo and Venice Treviso until April 3.

Passengers with reservations affected by this change will also be informed they will be automatically rescheduled on an alternate route as soon as possible. Customers who they have booked directly on wizzair.com or in the Wizz Air app they will receive an email notification, in which they are offered free reprogramming, full refund of money or repayment of 120% of the initial tariff in the form of company credit.

Passengers can choose between the above options by accessing the link in the email and easily choosing the best option through the individual programming platform.

Please note that Wizz Air can only inform passengers who have booked through wizzair.com or through the airline's mobile app. Passengers who have booked through travel agencies - including online travel agencies - should contact the agency from where they purchased their tickets.
